The protesters occurres in Western Libya
Once captured several towns in eastern Libya's Benghazi and Tobruk, protesters against the regime of Muammar Gaddafi managed to take control and over the eastern city Zauiya, about 50 km from Tripoli, said Reuters.
So the power of colonel gradually weakening throughout the country, the agency said. According to reporter for Reuters from the roof of a building in the town waving the red-green-black flag of the opposition, and hundreds of people chanted "This is our revolution." The actions of the protesters even reached the capital Tripoli, where in some quarters behind barricades announced defiance.
Victims of protests in Libya over the past two weeks are about 2000 people, diplomats say, the price of oil has exceeded 112 dollars per barrel.
According to Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam is "a big difference between reality and media reports. He argues that the southern, western and middle part of Libya are calm, and part of the East. Protesters in the east said they had formed a national council to become the face of the revolution, but explained that this is not a provisional government.
Analysts said the weapon would not help to maintain power Gaddafi in Libya, but even as his army disintegrated, it retains sufficient strength to continue to sow chaos and possibly cause a civil war.
They say the most likely outcome will be struggling against his regime to capture Tripoli and kill or capture Gadhafi and most loyal of its surroundings. However, if the colonel and his devoted several thousand people retreat into the wilderness, he was able to keep civil war for weeks.
Specialist on the Middle East Dr. Omar Achour told BBC three scenarios that analysts are reluctant to discuss. The first is Gaddafi to strike with chemical weapons, and in such extreme scenario, international intervention seems inevitable. According to international observers, the regime still has 9.5 tons of mustard gas in storage 600 km from Tripoli, but has no means to use it.
The second scenario of Dr. Achour is a military coup or invasion of a substantial part of the army against Tripoli, the colonel and his sons. The problem here is that the army itself does not react as a single organism, unlike what happened in Tunisia and Egypt. There are cases of defection, but remain intact elite troops under the command of Gadhafi's sons and paramilitary formations. The new element here is trying to form in Benghazi on guerrilla army of volunteers trained by officers deserted.
Thirdly, Dr. Achour indicates the effect of an international blacklist of names of commanders and crimes against his people and humanity. At the thought of an international arrest warrant against them, many probably would think twice before issuing an order for another shooting or bombing.
